Yoodli is your private AI roleplay and communication coach. Our mission is to help people around the world communicate with confidence - without feeling judged. We’ve raised $7M+ in seed funding from leading investors like Madrona, AI2, and Cercano. Our partnerships, including Google, Sandler, and Toastmasters International, are helping us bring personalized roleplays and communication coaching to hundreds of thousands of users.

What we’re hoping you bring:
- Hands-on technical leadership: You love writing and shipping full-stack code—driving both frontend and backend implementations to craft beautiful, engaging, and performant user interfaces and experiences
- Customer obsession: You deeply understand customer needs, sweat the details, and use direct feedback to iterate on and elevate our roleplay experiences
- Product and Architectural vision: You’ll help push our roleplays and end user experiences to the next level, designing an elegant yet high performance engine that will deliver a jaw-dropping experience to our users
- Cross-functional collaboration: You partner seamlessly with technical and non-technical teams to define and execute our roadmap
- Team development: You’ve managed and mentored engineers for at least 2 years - hiring top talent, running one-on-ones, setting growth plans, and fostering a culture of continuous learning
About You:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 1 year in people management
- Proven track record of owning large, multi-sprint initiatives that deliver polished, user-centric products
- Expert in modern web and backend technologies (e.g. TypeScript/React, Python/Node.js/Go, cloud platforms)
- Deep empathy for end users, and an eye for polished and engaging user experiences
- Exceptional communication skills—able to translate complex technical trade-offs into business-aligned decisions
Extra credit experience:
- Building real-time audio/video features (WebRTC, streaming architectures, media pipelines)
- Hands-on work with large language models or conversational AI frameworks
- Familiarity with performance-tuning front-end animations and accessibility best practices
